What is e-prescription?
E-prescription is a digital prescription created by the physician in the electronic health system and dispensed at the pharmacy after reading. Pharmacy automation reads the e-prescription, runs the social-insurance provision query, calculates co-payment and produces the sales receipt, e-archive and ITS notification from one record. Medula Yazılım runs this flow on one screen. It is a software company independent of the SGK Medula provision portal.

Both may appear during transition periods. Automation can support both entry types from the same sales screen.
Does e-prescription reading work offline?
Provision and e-prescription queries need connectivity. Backup procedures for outages should be defined in the support plan.
Is e-prescription the same as SGK Medula?
No. E-prescription is the digital prescription format; SGK Medula is the provision and reimbursement system. Pharmacy software integrates with both.
Are OTC sales covered by e-prescription?
No. OTC and non-prescription sales use a separate flow; ITS notification still applies by product scope.
